TLR Logging Recorder

Mercom Audiolog Call Recording Server is capable of digitally recording radio transmissions when connected to a properly-configured M/A Com EDACS Trunked Radio system. Audio acquisition and control are accomplished via a pair of required (proprietary) M/A Com EDACS 02
interfaces.

Audio connectivity is via one or more 24-channel circuits between TEC Concentrator card(s) in the EDACS controller's Multiplicity TRIM module and one or more 24-channel T1 interfaces on the Mercom Recording Server.

Data connectivity is via an Ethernet connection between the M/A Com TRIM Personal Computer (PC) and the CTILink software module on the Mercom Recording Server.

Start/Stop control for recordings is accomplished directly via the real-time E&M signaling that is presented by the M/A Com EDACS TRIM Interface's T1 circuit. The Mercom Recording Server activates and terminates recording for each transmission in accord with the real-time E&M signaling from EDACS.

Each recorded transmission is multiple-indexed with information provided by the M/A Com EDACS TRIM PC's data stream. Multiple-data Indexing with transmission-associated information permits simple, intuitive playback of any desired transmission sequence. Recorded transmissions are indexed with EDACS entity information:

  • Fleet ID
  • Sub-Fleet ID
  • Agency ID
  • Group ID
  • Radio ID
  • Type of Call
Reconstructive playback of a multiple transmission incident is possible through the use of Audiolog's optional 8-channel or 16-channel Remote Client Player. Optional synthesized Talking Date & Time capability is also available on these remote playback applications.
