application for voice playback and online transcription. iTranscriber was designed specifically for transcription services, law firms, insurance and commercial agencies.
iTranscriber allows users to be up and running almost instantaneously. It operates on Active Server Pages (ASP) and is the first product developed by Crescendo on the Microsoft .NET platform.
Designed to simplify the transcription cycle, a report can be completed in three easy steps: data collection, transcription, and comments. Dictation is played back with the low cost option of the Microsoft Media Player, and voice is streamed to the user. This allows for immediate playback from any point in the voice file.
iTranscriber is currently in beta, and will be released in January 2004.
Crescendo breaks into the legal market
October 21, 2002 - Crescendo's dictation solutions are gaining more popularity in the legal market especially in the United Kingdom. Crescendo's various dictation options are well-suited for this industry, whether it be regular call-in dictation, PC dictation, Pocket PC dictation or digital recorders.
Where lawyers are accustomed to cassette recorders, Crescendo integrates digital recorders into its main dictation system. Meaning that these lawyers do not have to change the way they work. The advantages of a digital recording are numerous, including the enhanced quality and simplicity of transferring the voice file to the transcriptionist.
Lanier Healthcare Launches Cquence VXP and VXP Lite Digital Dictation Systems
ATLANTA (December 2, 2002) - Lanier Healthcare, which offers software applications to help health care and business professionals create and manage mission-critical information, has developed Cquence Voice Xchange Platform (VXP) and VXP Lite, state-of-the-art digital dictation and document workflow systems.
Cquence VXP and VXP Lite enable users to dictate and receive digital voice files from any location, station, personal computer, telephone or wireless dictation device. VXP and VXP Lite manage and route the voice files to the proper transcriptionist based on user-defined criteria. Transcriptionists can then securely download the voice files over the Internet for transcribing and editing, eliminating the need for costly dedicated phone lines, ports and workstations. These solutions allow users to transmit, access and manage digital voice files to suit individual organizational needs. VXP is ideal for large organizations that require the ability for thousands of originators and transcriptionists to access the system simultaneously. VXP Lite offers the same software functionality as VXP and is ideal for small to mid-size physician practices, law firms and other general businesses that require simultaneous access for up to 32 users and smaller configurations.
"Cquence VXP and VXP Lite offer a number of important advantages for a wide range of customers," says Dennis Mahoney, president of Lanier Healthcare. "It's convenient - users can dictate anytime and anywhere. It's cost effective - the software is affordable for small, medium and large organizations. And the Lanier Healthcare Service team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist with any product support needs." Security is a key feature of VXP and VXP Lite, Mahoney says. "VXP clients can define 10 levels of secure access and the software provides intruder alerts and an electronic audit trail," he says. "VXP is the right solution for organizations that want to securely and efficiently manage their document workflow.
" VXP and VXP Lite are a part of the Cquence family, an award-winning suite of applications that manages each progressive stage in the life of a medical document: creation, completion, distribution and retention. The Cquence family includes speech recognition, dictation, transcription electronic signature and other products.
